This course introduces students to Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick). They will learn SMAW machine setup, repair, and maintenance. Students will continue completing practical assessments and any missing modules. Students will successfully complete the ELW training curriculum, written examination and the required workmanship samples will satisfy the requirements for the Entry Level Welder certification. The students training record, examination scores and workmanship sample results will be submitted to the AWS. Each qualified student will receive the AWS certification and be entered into the AWS National Registry.
